Pages Jaunes buys 123people
The Vienna-based “people” search engine 123people now belongs to Pages Jaunes. The French apparently popped out 10 to 15 million Euros to buy out the previous stockholders.
According to their data, 123people is the largest non-American online advertising medium. 123people, with currently 40 million unique visitors from 11 countries per month, should be launching in three more countries this summer, and hopes to double the number of users by the end of this year. The number of employees will be increased from 20 to 30 and the company’s headquarters will remain in Vienna.
