Sency.com: Real Time Search Engine with a Local Focus
The new real time search engine Sency doesn’t only deliver results according to key words, but also location specific results. So searching won’t only provide information about people, daily news or other things, but also about cities and places.
Whoever types in “what’s up in Berlin?” (the site is not only available in English, but in Spanish, Italian, German, and French) receives accordingly results posted in two tables. In the left table, the user can see “what people are saying about what’s up in Berlin?” and in the right tabled the “most shared links for what’s up in Berlin? today”, results being displayed from the last few minutes. Even results for the 2010 World Cup can be displayed, with impressive results. The theme search can even be connected with local search. Sency spits out results even with the keywords “World Cup 2010 Berlin”. Though the results aren’t very extensive, at least the function works.
And another specialty of the new real time search engine: it combs through reports from other social networks, blogs, forums, press and news portals.
The makers of Sency discuss in a Youtube video just how their real time search works.
