DasÖrtliche: With Friends at the Christmas Market

The enchanting scents of cinnamon, cloves, roasted almonds and chestnuts are flowing from the Christmas markets in every town. Not only can you find them with the online directory dasoertliche.de, but you can also send your friends a virtual mulled wine.
With just a click on the DasÖrtliche’s homepage, users can access the Christmas market search. Or they can just type in http://weihnachten.dasoertliche.de/ to the browser to use the service. Users not only have access to famous Christmas markets like the Nostalgic Christmas Market in Berlin, the Christkindlesmarkt in Nurnberg, or the Dresdner Striezelmarkt, but also Christmas markets in the local vicinity. For almost all of the markets in Germany, users can find information like operating times, specific address, a description of the market, and pictures. With the map feature, it’s easy to pull up the exact location of the market along with the feature of planning a route to get there.
What makes the whole thing special is that it is a customized search, meaning users can add new markets and pictures on their own accord. And for those insiders that have exclusive information about the markets, this information can be posted as well. Users can also send friends a mulled wine over Facebook and plan a rendez-vous at the Christmas market.
