Telegate: Middle Class in the Digital No Man’s Land

Small and midsized establilshments in Germany still haven’t made it into the digital realm – especially in the world of social media. This information is from a study “Middle class and Advertising” from Telegate.
Additionally, the study discovered that approximately three quarters of marketing budgets – which annually sum up between 1,000 and 5,000 Euro – in the printed media, despite the fact that almost every second search for company information is online. About one-half of all small and midsized companies don’t even have their own website. The most popular way to advertise is still printed yellow pages, with 48 percent, and online directories with 37 percent. Only about one quarter of small/midsized establishments use search engine marketing.
