suchen.de Integrates Ratings from golocal

Starting immediately, the local search engine suchen.de provides ratings for the search results. This is made possible through the partnership with the rating-community golocal. Those that search suchen.de for products and services within a city will now find the ratings that the members of the golocal community gave to the coordinating vendor, in addition to basic information such as contact information or hours of operation.

Suchen.de users that want their opinions heard can also give out stars and write their own review. Users from golocal will also be able to read these. Internet recommendations are growing more and more. User-based ratings have been booming for quite a while in the net. The reason? For most, the opinions of their friends are a lot more important than some consumer magazine or another source.

Gerhard Gottwald, golocal’s manager, sees the new partnership between his company and suchen.de as a “huge leap into the future”. It is possible to read and write reviews on a lot of other local search engines, but what sets golocal’s deal apart from the others is that it consists of a well established community in which users exchange information, hear about events, and follow other users posts in the forums. To top it all off, suchen.de’s search results also provide photos from the golocal community, as well as videos that companies have uploaded.
