Google Tool For Mobile Website Creation

“This is pretty cool”, which is why we give a +1: Google is now offering a tool for small businesses that allows them to create a mobile internet site quickly – for free. Whoever visits http://sites.google.com/mobilize can create a mobile landing page with just a few clicks in just a few minutes.
The reason for the creation of the tool is explained by Shiv Kumar in Google’s Googles Mobile Ads Blog and Small Business Blog: “ In a recent study, we found that 61% of users are unlikely to return to a mobile site that they had trouble accessing from their phone, and 40% go to a competitor’s. By the end of this year, more than half of all Americans will own a smartphone.” Because half of Americans will be in possession of a smartphone by the end of the year, Google wanted to help small, so local, business owners prepare for the mobile trend.

And it really doesn’t take any previous knowledge of programming to use this tool. There are five different templates like “local business” and “restaurant”, but also a blank page, and it literally just takes a few simple steps. Text, pictures, or gadgets can also be easily added.
