iPhone App Alfred Finds the Perfect Place to Meet

The free location-based recommendation app Alfred, developed by Clever Sense, now offers users “group recommendations”, displaying those locations that other people also enjoy in the latest version of the app, in addition to custom results especially for the users.
The app, which the Local Search Blog already introduced, was already astounding enough with its highly-developed technology, using numerous attributes from its users to create personal recommendations; now the team from Clever Sense is impressing us even more with “group recommendations”: Alfred can now combine preferences from multiple users and then delivers results that are suitable for all parties, according to the company blog. All users have to do is show Alfred which users will be joining in through Facebook. If these users are already Alfred users, then results will be customized for all users. For those that don’t have the app yet, an invite will be sent, so that they can have a say as well.
All of this is made possible by the AI-based system: Alfred learns from users – the more a user tells him his or her favorite places to brunch, lunch, and dine, have coffee and go out, the better the recommendations. And the results are not just limited to preferences, but also customized to location and time.
