One of our favorites is back: Ö-Navi, the cellular navigation system from Das Örtliche will be celebrating its relaunch soon. The last year’s wait is finally over, with an array of technical problems that hindered the program.

Telmap, leader for mobile local services, is now cooperating with Das Örtliche and is integrating the information from the German telephone directory in the German edition of the Telmap Mobile Location Companion.
The Telmap service is the first individual mobile companion worldwide that offers its users a search function, maps, navigation, local information like public transportation, radar cameras, and information to points of interests (POIs), according to the company. For many German users, the Telmap Mobile Location Companion is now available with the complete information from Das Örtliche: For machines operation Windows Phone 7, the app is available. The online directory Das Örtliche is now cooperating with the ad pamphlet provider Marktjagd. With the new deal, Das Örtliche users will not only be able to see contact information from local retailers, but also digital ad pamphlets.
Those searching for a hardware store, a store for car parts, or some other sort of dealership in the vicinity, receive not only the location but also their current offerings. And not only deal hunters get their dollar’s worth: according to Das Örtliche, both small and large retailers will profit from the cooperation, thanks to direct advertising. Das Örtliche iPhone App: Urkunde für die Nominierten

Die iPhone-App von Das Örtliche gehört zu den drei innovativsten mobilen Anwendungen in Deutschland. So entschied die Jury des Innovationspreises IT auf der diesjährigen Cebit in Hannover. Angetreten zu dem Wettbewerb waren 2000 Anbieter in 35 Kategorien. Der Innovationspreis wird jedes Jahr auf der Cebit von der Initiative Mittelstand verliehen. Sieger in der Kategorie ist der Hotel Reservation Service mit seiner Mobil-Lösung.
